"Tell me about yourself": A Good Opportunity for first Impression !!

This is one of the first questions asked in an interview and the most important one. It's your first impression, so the choice of word is very important here, we cannot tell that we are ordinary, we have to be extraordinary there, we have to prove to them that we are extraordinary. You may be a little bit nervous at the start of the interview and the question couldn't be more open. It's a chance to showcase that how amazing you are, you are not amazing is a showcase by giving a short answer. The duration should be 60 to 90 seconds, as the first one minutes is the most important, if you do not do well in the first minutes, then in the entire interview, you will be tensed.

To help you figure out what are the most important things to say, imagine you have only got an ad break to fill. You need to get across your unique selling points before it finishes, so you need to be clever and ruthless.

Here are the few most important points you can mention to start well.

1. Academics- 

Please do talk about it. The very reason you are sitting in the interview is that you have good academics, if you are not very good at academics then surely you can reduce the content, and you can talk about courses, achievements, etc. Try to differentiate yourself from others, You have to sounds much better than your competitors.

2.Career History- 

Think about in which part of your career or during what educational experiences can you highlight some really interesting personal achievements. At this stage, don't go into detail, the interviewer may pick up on them later if you spark their interest. Try to give them a flavor of your personal approach to work and what drives you.

3. Mention Hobbies-

You can mention the hobby if you want them to ask from your hobbies. At this point don't elaborate, but give them only a glimpse. Hobbies tell the interviewer, what kind of personality you are. Please mention at least one of the hobbies aligned with the job description.

4.Job description- 

One should pick out the areas that illustrate you have the skills detailed in the job description. What parts of the role would really motivate you and have you got any examples to prove that you are the right person for the job? If you can tie in why you are interested in their company or what you know about them while answering this question, you'll always impress. You don't need to go into details, just a headline about what you have done. 

5.End with talking about your goal-

 You can end this introduction by talking about your goal because this is the whole purpose of your interview. Make sure you have properly done the research about the company goal aligned with your goal so that you could impress because you never get a second chance to make a first impression.
